May 10, 2010

Open Letter to All Airlines

The 2010 AAPC National Conference was scheduled to be held at the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville, TN on June 6-9, 2010. On May 3, 2010, the Gaylord Opryland was flooded with 12 feet of water, causing extensive damage to the facility. As a result, the Gaylord Opryland has closed for at least the next three months and has cancelled all upcoming conventions, including the AAPC National Conference.

Due to these unfortunate circumstances, it was necessary to move the AAPC National Conference from Nashville, TN to Jacksonville, FL. The National Conference will be held on the same dates but at a different location.

This relocation has required all conference attendees to change their flight plans. We request that attendees scheduled to attend our National Conference not be charged the customary airline ticket change fees. This incident was an unforeseen disaster and attendees should not be penalized for needing to change their travel plans as a result.

Sincerely,

David Maxwell Vice President, Product Management American Academy of Professional Coders Local Phone: 801-236-2200 Toll Free: 800-626-CODE (2633) Fax: 801-236-2258 http://www.aapc.com Upholding a Higher Standard
