PERFORMANCE STANDARDS (Each Standard Element must be marked with a Not Evident, Emerging, or Proficient rating. Commentary is required and should specifically address performance levels assigned to the Standard Elements.)</p><p>A. COUNSELING SERVICES STANDARD (CS): The School Social Worker will plan, organize and provide individual, group counseling, skill building, therapeutic or support activities for students who are experiencing similar needs.</p><p>Not Evident Emerging Proficient</p><p>(CS1): The School Social Worker provides opportunities for developmentally appropriate and proactive individual counseling. </p><p>(CS2): Skill-building or support groups/activities are provided. </p><p>(CS3): Effectiveness of individual counseling or group activities is data driven and evaluated.</p><p>Commentary </p><p>B. Social Work Services Standard (SWS): Works effectively with students, parents, and school personnel to serve the needs of all students.</p><p>Not Evident Emerging Proficient</p><p>(SWS1): Information flow/delivery of services among home, school, and community are coordinated. </p><p>(SWS 2): Adherence to applicable education, compulsory attendance,</p><p>Page 1 and related social service laws/policies/protocol is fostered. </p><p>Commentary </p><p>C. Consultation and Program Design (CPD): The School Social Worker creates a system of program strategies that result in appropriate community referrals, consultations, interventions, and programs to improve students presenting problems.</p><p>Not Evident Emerging Proficient</p><p>(CPD1): System/staff, parents, and community are consulted about issues and concerns. </p><p>(CPD 2): The development of strategies for improving students learning and/or behavior through community resources and/or</p><p> initiatives is demonstrated. </p><p>Commentary </p><p>D. Data Collection and Technology (DCT): The School Social Worker monitors, evaluates, and disseminates relevant attendance data utilizing appropriate technology.</p><p>Not Evident Emerging Proficient</p><p>(DCT 1): Departmental compliance with social work related services, technology and statistical data is demonstrated. </p><p>Commentary </p><p>Page 2 E. Demonstrates ethical behavior as outlined in the PSC Code of Ethics. U N S 8. Interacts in a respectful, civil, and professional manner with students, families, staff, school leaders and supervisor. U N S 9. On time attendance and participation in supervision groups, staff meetings and other assigned meetings/activities U N S 10. Seeks consultation with supervisor and/or Lead Social Worker to address individual performance concerns. U N S 11.
