<p> Unite Students Job Description</p><p>External Communications Job Title: Level: Executive Executive Team: Corporate Affairs Location: Head Office</p><p>PURPOSE OF THE JOB</p><p>To provide operational support to the Head of Communications and the External Communications Manager in the day-to-day delivery of the external communications strategy and the ongoing development of the communications capability</p><p>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES</p><p> Provide key corporate materials and collateral  Deliver hands-on support in the design, development, planning and delivery of key external communication activities  Deliver requirements for corporate website on a day-to-day basis</p><p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</p><p> Working closely with the relevant parts of the business, develop and maintain key company materials and collateral, including but not limited to, position papers, press releases, image library, brand manual, press cuttings, events calendar, company presentations  Working with key functional content owners, manage requirements for corporate website, ensuring it becomes a source of relevant information and a powerful showcase for the brand  To support the delivery of key external corporate events, e.g. press conferences, financial results presentations, higher education conferences, seminars and events  Provide operational support for functional and city team in the delivery of key central and local communication activities  Provide hands-on support in the design, development, planning and delivery of key external communication activities and campaigns  Provide a “triage” point of contact for media enquiries  Organise communications training (e.g. media training, presentation training) as required, for both the Corporate Affairs team and managers from other parts of the business  Working with the Internal Communications Executive, organise key team meetings, e.g. team briefings, planning meetings, social events</p><p>KEY REQUIREMENTS</p><p> An energetic and extrovert communicator  Highly focused operator with a flair for organisation  An instinctive team player who’s not afraid to speak their mind  A passion for brands and customer-led campaigns  Ability to quickly create clear, crisp copy to a defined brief  Experience of working in a busy press office</p>
