<p> TBD: SPEAKER ACTIVITIES</p><p>AT IMS/SUITE C-19</p><p>9:30 – 11:30 am LED LIGHTING: Everything you need to know…..</p><p>Presented by Ian Shaw, Regional Sales Manager, Northern Plains Territory, Philips Color Kinetics </p><p>With 10 years of industry knowledge and a passion for solid-state lighting, Ian Shaw has evangelized the benefits of LEDs among the mid-west lighting design, engineering, contracting, and end-user communities. He has guest lectured at Universities, Colleges, Community and Technical programs, and countless IESNA chapters and utility organizations on both general lighting principals as well as emerging technologies with LED based systems. Professionally, he is instrumental in the conception and execution of many milestone solid-state lighting installations in the Upper Midwest. Coming to the technology sector from a Historical Preservation background, he stated high lighting career in street lighting initiatives with the City of St. Paul, MN, and has consulted on projects by renowned architects such as Philip Johnson, Jean Nouvel and Philippe Starck. Mr. Shaw holds degrees with a focus in Architectural History and Urban Planning from Macalester College in St. Paul, Mn.</p><p>Mr. Shaw’s presentation focuses on The History and Use of LEDs with careful consideration given to the Myths and misconceptions surrounding their use of Lighting Systems. Relevant case studies, applications and standards for LEDs will be introduced to create a solid knowledge base for the end- user to ensure that they have the complete story surrounding this emerging technology. </p><p>12:30 – 2:30 pm Color Trends by Michelle Thielen, Sherwin Williams, Minneapolis District Coordinator along with Design Team Member, Jodi Atsidakos, and Kyle Hinners, Representative for our IDAL group.
