<p>Economics Teague</p><p>Unit 1 – Fundamental Economic Concepts - Chapters 1, 2 & 3</p><p>____ For each chapter listed, you must define all terms, take notes, and complete all “Economics at a Glance” activities. DO NOT ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS IN SECTION ASSESSMENTS OR CHAPTER REVIEWS. You will use the questions in the chapter as a guide to what information will be needed for your notes. See me for more info on this method of taking notes. ____You will be given a test for each chapter you complete. Before you take the test, you will take your work from the chapter and compare it with the Chapter Assessment. Your terms and notes should answer any question on the assessment. If you are unable to answer a question using your chapter work, go back and add the missing information to your notes. Once you have checked your work by comparing it with the Chapter Assessment, you should be ready to take my chapter test. You will be able to use all notes or work for that chapter when taking the test. ____ Complete Unit 1 Project. - Student selects, purchases, and monitors stock purchases ____ Mastery Assessment on Fundamental Economic Concepts – You must score 80% or higher in all areas of the test before moving on to the Microeconomics Unit.</p><p>Unit 2 – Microeconomics - Chapters 4, 5, 6 & 7</p><p>____ For each chapter listed, you must define all terms, take notes, and complete all “Economics at a Glance” activities. See me for info on how we will use these sites. http://www.tutor2u.net/ - British Econ Prep Site – A great site as long as you remember they have different names than you are used to using such as referring to soccer as football or waiting in line as waiting in a queue. Worth the effort and somewhat entertaining. www.usatestprep.com - Economics EOCT – See me for your login information http://angel.henry.k12.ga.us/default.asp - Videos covering the concepts you are required to master in order to pass Economics. These videos are especially helpful if you are having difficulty understanding the different types of graphs used.</p><p>Preparation through textbook - textbook pages xxviii - 1 - For each of the 21 Basic Concepts in Economics, you will create a study sheet that could be used as a study tool for other students to help them better understand these important concepts. How to take control of the common textbook chapter</p><p>1) Define all bold print terms in the sections of the chapter. Try to come up with your own definition from reading the text.</p><p>2) Identify all names used in the chapter, whether they are bold print or not. Do not copy a large amount of information from the text. Instead, read about the person, and come up with your own brief description.</p><p>3) Use all Main Idea questions, both on the side of the section pages and in the section assessments, to act as a guide to what notes you should take. 4) Compare your chapter work with the chapter assessment at the end of the chapter. Your should be able to define all terms, identify all people, and answer all of the questions in the chapter assessment. When you can answer yes to the above question, you are ready to take the chapter test.</p>
