<p> School Improvement Team (SIT) Meeting Minutes August 10, 2012 8:30 AM</p><p>Present: Atcher, Burton, Baron, Walker, Russell, Spady, Cotton, Cain-Fulp, Maxwell, Ratliff, Nichter, Shore, Coleson, Hopkins, Boyd-Gordon Also present were two teachers: McCloud and Cox.  Ms. Walker, immediate past chair, gave an overview of agenda.  Mr. Baron, the previous vice-chair of SIT, moved into Chair position.  The position of vice-chair is vacant and will be directed to the staff. This position has to be voted on by the faculty/staff. SIT secretary will make necessary changes and email modified by-laws to SIT Representatives before the next SIT Meeting. o New committees were added to the by-laws. Committee descriptions on by-laws need to be revised to reflect the actual committees at Kennedy. Descriptions are needed for the Marketing, Curriculum, and Climate Committees. The Hospitality & Student Activities Committees will be sub-committees of the Climate Committee. The Parent Involvement Committee is a sub-committee of the Marketing Committee. Representatives will bring descriptions to the next SIT meeting. ADDITIONALCONCERNS/COMMENTS:______The meeting was adjourned. NEXT MEETING: August 20th @ 3:15.
