<p> Questionnaire for National Organization for Human Services</p><p>Dear NOHS and/or Regional Member,</p><p>NOHS is revising its ethical code. One of the most important objectives in the process toward the revision is to have the voices of members (practitioners, students, and educators) included from beginning to end. We would be very grateful to hear from you. We will use your responses to the open-ended questions below to create a second questionnaire with which statistical analyses can be used. You may answer one, several, or all of them. </p><p>1. In your opinion, why should we revise the current NOHS ethical code? </p><p>You might think about what you’d like the code to do for your clients or for you as a student, practitioner or educator. </p><p>You might consider the following but don’t limit yourself to this list: 1) It should address our ethical values, aspirations or ideals more (or less): 2) The stated ethical principles should be more (or less) measurable; 3) It should provide guidance to make decisions in ethical dilemmas; 4) A revision is necessary to keep up with changes in laws or an evolving society; 5) The code seems incomplete; 6) Our code needs to be more (or less) complex; 7) The public interest should be better represented. Are there ethically ambiguous situations you encounter in your human services work (including internships if you are a student) or teaching that our code might address? 6. Are there areas of ethical practice seem to conflict with laws?</p><p>7. Are there areas of ethical practice which seem to conflict with your workplace’s policies or norms?</p><p>8. What ideas do you have for the organization of the ethical code? (It would probably help to view the current code if you’ve lost touch with the organization of it, and one should be available at your conference.) </p><p>9.
