Students are expected to know and abide by these guidelines. Class rules 1. Inappropriate language, unnecessary talking, and distracting behavior are unacceptable. 2. Raise your hand and wait for permission to speak (if we are not doing group work), or to get up from desk. 3. Respect others, the teacher, and the classroom. 4. Don’t be late. ¡Gracias! (Thank you!) Consequences if you choose to break a rule Warning / teacher detention/Referrals</p><p>GRADING/Peer tutor assignments.</p><p>The peer tutor will complete the following tasks as needed.</p><p>1. Help students during certain activities in groups or individuals students when asked by teacher. 2. Grade quizzes (multiple choice type or single answer) or writings from time to time. All students’ grades must remain confidential. 3. Three hole punch, staple, or cut papers occasionally. 4. Run errands to library or to Mrs. Lawson’s office. 5. Walk around the class and help when asked, answer questions, especially during group work. 6. Other errands or jobs relating to the class, pass out papers, etc. 7. Several days there will be no work for peer tutoring. On those days, you may use the time as a study hall/ to do other class work, or to read. 8. There will be no homework assigned for peer tutor. The student is expected to stay in the classroom unless given permission. If the peer tutor leaves the classroom, he or she should take the peer tutor badge with him/her. 9. Classroom rules apply. Failure to complete class related tasks may lower the grade. 10. MAKE CONTACTS WITH FRESHMAN as part of your Freshman Mentor responsibilities. Log in freshman contacts in counseling office. 11.
