PPCMA Update 11-16-07

Dear PPCMA Members:

As promised, the PPOA By-laws Committee's formal "Rejection Letter" of Dave Raffa's VFD&EMS Funding Proposal is now available on the PPCMA web site. To view this letter, please use this link: http://www.ppcma.org/PP_Info/Misc_Info/VFD_EMS_Rejection_Letter.pdf

So that you may be able to see Dave Raffa's proposal, it is available for you at this link: http://www.ppcma.org/PP_Info/Misc_Info/VFD_EMS_Petition.pdf

As we have previously reported, while By-laws has now rejected Dave's proposal, the Board will also now be required to vote on whether or not it goes on the ballot. Should the Board vote against Mr. Raffa's proposal, which PPCMA fairly sure they will, other avenues through petition are still open to Mr. Raffa to ensure an initiative ultimately gets to the PPOA membership for their vote and ultimate decision. This is most definitely a developing situation.

Also of note, the RV, Boat and Trailer Parking Lawsuit is set to continue before the Honorable Judge Brigham in Hood County District Court. As you may recall, Hood County District Judge Ralph Walton has recused himself from the case. A hearing is now set to consider a motion for Summary Judgment, filed by the Defendant (PPOA) . The subject hearing is scheduled for 9 am on Monday, November 19th, at the at the new Hood County Justice Center, located at 1200 W. Pearl Street.

Now, on behalf of all of us at PPCMA, we would like to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks for reading and helping to "spread the word!"

Thank you,

PPCMA Advisory Council

Jim Allen John Gehring Steve Haines Ray Stallings Dan White To Join PPCMA, simply e-mail us at [email protected] www.PPCMA.org
