SESS. 11 SS BR 44</p><p>A RESOLUTION recognizing and honoring Representative Susan Westrom upon being awarded the Assisted Living Federation of America Statesman Award. WHEREAS, the ALFA Statesman Award is presented to a state elected official who has demonstrated outstanding efforts on behalf of senior living residents; and WHEREAS, ALFA promotes grassroots advocacy at the state level and labors to ensure fair senior living resident laws and regulations throughout the nation; and WHEREAS, Representative Susan Westrom has tirelessly supported the cause of senior living in the Commonwealth, as evidenced by her diligent work and dedication that resulted in the enactment of House Bill 444 which passed in the 2010 Regular Session of the Kentucky General Assembly and which expanded assisted living services in Kentucky; and WHEREAS, Representative Susan Westrom will be formally honored and recognized at the 2011 ALFA Conference on April 6, 2011, in Orlando, Florida; NOW, THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:</p><p> Section 1.
