Project Purpose – Problem Being Addressed: The purpose of this project is to stabilize and restore the watershed canyons and to protect and renovate the marine life areas (ASBS's). The program tasks include completing watershed assessments (survey, hydrologic/hydraulic, biological/ecological, water quality and sedimentation), preparing specific restoration recommendations under a watershed management plan, and implementing specific stabilization and restoration projects within the Watershed Management Plan.</p><p>4. Project Goals a. Short-term Goals: Complete technical studies and prepare a Watershed Assessment Report. Implement a monitoring program. Prepare a Watershed Management Plan (WMP) to address the long term goals stated below. b. Long-term Goals: Stabilize and restore the watershed canyons, reduce negative impacts to the two ASBS's and creating educational and training opportunities for City staff and the community.</p><p>5.
