Kick net use (adults due to cold water or get before hand) . Macro Id – write on sheet for later  using chart/pictures  microscope/hand lens  bucket/tray/jars  nets  Adult vs larvae</p><p>Station 2 Stream Bank Erosion- Mitch Woodward, NCSU CO-Op Time 30 min . Look at eroded bank at far end of trail . Talk about increased development and flow . Sinuosity, bank cutting, hydrology (possible velocity experiment) . How erosion affects us and stream . What can we as a community do to help? . Natural re-establishment or intervention?</p><p>Station 3 Stream Bank Stabilization- Jan Patterson, PE NCSU Time 30 min . Importance of vegetation . Effects of erosion and stream degradation . Solutions to mitigate/stabilize . Black Willow information (handout) . Planting  Safety discussion  Installing orange tpf and sign after establishment</p><p>Station 4 Stream Restoration/Monitoring- Brian Roberts Time 30 min . Stream Index Value (use chart from station 1)  Talk about the macros use as indicators and how pollution and DO affects them  Tolerant group 3  Moderate group 2  Intolerant group 1 . Talk about restoration project development</p><p>Conclusion: Wrap up, t-shirts, giveaways and certifications</p>
