<p> Moree Secondary College Assessment Task - Year 8 English – Term 1 Novel Study</p><p>Date given: Date due: Weight: Week 6 Week 1 20%</p><p>Focus outcomes to be assessed: 1 - A student responds to and composes texts for understanding, interpretation, critical analysis and pleasure. 2 - A student uses a range of processes for responding to and composing texts. 4 - A student uses and describes language forms and features, and structures of texts appropriate to different purposes, audiences and contexts. 10 - A student identifies, considers and appreciates cultural expression in texts.</p><p>In this unit we have been learning about the concept of friendship and family through the study of the novel Holes</p><p>This task will allow you to explore this concept further through the process of creating a new text. You MUST complete the middle activity (collage and explanation):</p><p>COLLAGE AND EXPLANATION</p><p>Make a collage which demonstrates your understanding of friendship and family as shown in your novel. Your collage should be presented on A3 paper and include a minimum of 10 images.</p><p>Choose 3 images shown in your collage and write an explanation of how these images illustrate friendship/ family, and how they relate to your novel specifically.
