<p> Primary School Administration Support Staff Position Description and Duty Statement For Relief Staff</p><p>SCHOOL SECTION Primary School, Red Hill Campus or Northside Campus STAFF GROUP Support REPORTS TO Head of Primary School EMPLOYMENT BASIS Relief staff CLASSIFICATION Clerical and Administrative Employee Level 2</p><p>Applications close at 5:00pm 30 July 2016</p><p>GENERAL</p><p>The role of the Receptionist is to provide a first point of contact for the Front Office of the Primary School. The Receptionist provides general administrative support duties to staff of the Primary School. </p><p>DUTIES</p><p>As Receptionist, duties are to:</p><p>. Provide First Aid to students when necessary, . assist visitors to the School, . answer incoming phone calls, . receive, sort and distribute incoming mail and parcels, . record student attendance and where appropriate contact parents to follow up on student absence, . take messages for staff, . maintain stationery stores and order new stock as required, . make bus bookings for excursions . undertake other duties as directed.</p><p>SELECTION SPECIFICATIONS</p><p>As a staff member, the occupant of the position will have:</p><p> experience in a similar role, preferably within the education sector  advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite  well-developed communication skills and attention to detail  an understanding of the sensitive and confidential nature of matters involved in the role  the ability to work under pressure  the ability to work in a small and busy team environment  the ability to work independently, intuitively and flexibly  the ability to establish good working relationships with students, parents, staff and the School community.</p><p>The occupant of the position must: </p><p> comply with the School’s Code of Conduct and with the School’s policies and regulatory requirements  respect and uphold the School’s Anglican values and ethos, while also respecting people of all backgrounds and faiths within the School community.</p><p>TERMS AND CONDITIONS</p><p>The position will be on a casual, as needs basis.</p><p>All employees of the School must be eligible to work with children in accordance with ACT Working with Vulnerable People legislation.</p><p>Canberra Grammar School is a respondent to the Independent Schools ACT Standards Model (Support & Operational Staff)) Multi Enterprise Agreement 2012 – 2016.
