Rolls-Royce Civil Nuclear addresses many activities including safety Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) products and through-life services for Nuclear Power Plants. Our products are at the highest level of safety as defined by the international standards. Our range of systems is designed to the Control of Nuclear Steam Supply System : Digital Reactor Protection Systems, Nuclear Instrumentation Systems, Power Control Systems. We design, install and support our solutions. We have 700 references in 150 Nuclear Power Plants of 15 countries. The I&C Business Unit is located near Grenoble (France). 2 Job description The applicant will be in charge of the design, qualification and licensing support of new I&C systems specifically for Nuclear Power Plants. The technology of these I&C systems can be either our proprietary platform for safety systems or industrial automation for other systems. The I&C system engineering involves a wide range of activities and technologies, including : </p><p>- Design, qualification and licensing of distributed system architecture - specifications of system, functions and software - mechanical and electrical design - system validation in factory and on site, - Digital acquisition and signal processing, embedded software, electronics, communication networks, tools for simulation and validation, - Use of international standards.</p><p>The I&C System Engineer is the technical interface leader between the customer and the Rolls- Royce Civil Nuclear specialists in charge of designing the equipment hardware and software. He leads cross-functional teams for design, qualification and licensing activities.</p><p>With the support of experienced engineers, he will be involved in :</p><p>- French or international projects from the technical offer according to the customer requirements, up to the on-site commissioning tests - Research and Development projects to continuously improve our technology.</p><p>The guiding principle is the quality of the design, substantiated by a strong methodology. 3 Skills Comfortable with team working Stringent Able to develop a system level view. 4 Education MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering 10 years and more of experience in nuclear I&C engineering or automation in another industry.</p><p>5.Contact: Jana Ceresnakova at: [email protected] </p>
