<p>FINAL PORTFOLIO CHECKLIST: Your finished website should have the following:</p><p>1. You can duplicate name of site over and over, but there should be something specific per page. An example: <title>Tracey Greene Portfolio | Web Designer</title> 3. <meta keyword> and <meta description> tags in <head> tags on all pages defined and are all unique – important for SEO. 4. You have created a custom logo and it links back to your home page. 5. All images for all pages (including home page brand tile, portfolio images, your profile picture, etc.) have <title> and <alt> tags defined – also important for SEO. <title> tags are for Safari, Firefox, and Chrome and <alt> tags are for Internet Explorer. These tags are important for screen readers for those who have visual disabilities and they appear as the light yellow tooltip on hover. 6. All images are labeled with your name and what they are IF you want these to be found in Google image searches. 7. Remove all images from your images folder (especially your portfolio folder) that you are no longer using. Example is Brendan’s original pink thumbnail and enlarged images. 8. Make sure that no original artwork files are in your Portfolio HTML folder (like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.). 9. Make sure all of your images have been optimized either as JPG or PNG and JPGs that are fairly large should be saved at 75% compression out of Fireworks to get file size down. 10. All content is spell checked and been updated from Brendan’s original “Lorem Ipsum” text. 11. Resume PDF link works to a resume PDF file and links to it in a new window. Ex: <a href="tracey-greene-resume.pdf" target="_blank" class="resumeLink"> 12. Social media icons match stylistically to your site and link to your personal respective social sites in both the footer and Hire Me/Contact page. 13. Your email address is correct in Hire Me/Contact Me page and footer. 14. All styles have been updated to match your site theme (background image or color, text content, horizontal rules, buttons, navigation, forms, and required text on form. 15. Your entire HTML is indented properly. 16. In any new code you created your HTML and CSS should work properly and do not generate errors in W3C validator (http://validator.w3.org). 17. If posting this to a your own hosted domain, that you have installed Google Analytics. 18. If posting this to a your own hosted domain, the form works.</p>
