In what region? What the climate is like? Any geographical features of interest? 2) In your research, find three points of interest. (Famous monuments, sites, museums, restaurants, etc.) Indicate what they are. In your own words, describe them and tell why they are so interesting. 3) Find a historical event that might have taken place in or around your city of interest and tell what happened in your own words. 4) Find out what products and/or specialty foods your city develops, manufactures or is known for. 5) Provide information about popular forms of recreation for both natives and tourists. 6) Compose a three page report incorporating all of your findings. Create a brochure with “quick facts” about your city which highlights the “good stuff” of interest that someone would want or need to know before travelling to your city. Make a post card and write a short note on it telling of your experience with this city as if you already traveled there and wanted to tell someone about it. 7) With your written report, you will need to recreate a map of Italy and incorporate the following: a) the capital b) your city c) the surrounding seas ( Ionion, Adriatic, Ligurian, Tyrhennian, Mediterranian) d) the region in which your city is located e) Sicily and Sardinia f) the Dolomite and Appennine alps

Mi chiamo ______Oggi è ______

Cities of Italy-----Research Report Grading Sheet

1) Folder- Ability to maintain an orderly folder with research information (5 points) ______2) Research- Ability to obtain criteria and information as highlighted in “PROCEDURE” section.
