<p>Troop 43 – Larkspur, CA Mount Diablo campout and hiking Saturday-Sunday, November 12-13, 2011</p><p>What: Two days/one night of camping and hiking in a beautiful national park! This trip will include a substantial hike to the summit of Mount Diablo, and camping overnight near the trailhead. We will travel there Saturday morning after Scouting for Food and return Sunday afternoon.</p><p>This hike is part of the “Rim Rover” Rim of the Bay Progressive Hike Trek. Scouts who didn’t attend the Pinnacles trip last spring will earn the beautiful (and huge) Rim Rover center patch and all Scouts will earn a Mount Diablo rocker for their patch.</p><p>Who: All Troop 43 Scouts! This is both a great hike for everyone, and a good chance for scouts to start on advancement for the next rank (since they just advanced at the Court of Honor).</p><p>Signup Deadline: Please get your confirmation and payment in by October 24 to Eric Zarko (address below).</p><p>Itinerary: Meet at Paradise Foods at 11:00 a.m. It is a little more than a one hour drive, so we will eat lunch when we arrive. Dinner Saturday and breakfast Sunday will be at camp; we’ll stop for lunch on the way home on Sunday and return around 2:00 p.m.</p><p>BAG LUNCH FOR SATURDAY: Scouts must pack a lunch for Saturday.</p><p>Cost: $30 per scout payable to Troop 43. This fee covers camping fees, Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast and lunch.</p><p>Equipment: See the attached list.
