<p> December 2015 Newsletter</p><p>Holiday Concert The Preschool will participate in the Holiday Concert on Wednesday December 9th at 6:30 p.m. in the High School Gym. Parents, friends, and relatives are encouraged to attend. The students will need to be at the school at 6:00. Preschool will meet in the elementary breezeway so parents can take children’s coats with them to the concert. Please dress your best for this occasion. Please dress in Christmas colors green, red, gold, silver, and white. Boys should wear black trousers/ pants no blue jeans please (Khaki’s are also acceptable please use your own judgment when selecting attire; dress your best for the occasion). After singing preschool students will be returned to their parents for the remainder of the concert, due to their short attention spans. All other grade levels will remain with their classes until the conclusion of the event. Please let me know if you have any other questions, Thank You.</p><p>Holiday Party/ Gift Exchange We will be having our holiday party on Thursday, December 17th with a Pajama Pizza Party. We will be doing several fun activities throughout the day with the children. Parents are welcome to bring treats to share with the class. </p><p>We will be having a Holiday book exchange on December 17th. The Survey Results were a split and some families would like to pay $10 and others would like to pay $5.00 and do their own shopping for 2 books. Each student will be bringing home 2 different books from the exchange. Please let me know if you have any questions. </p><p>Party payment is due by December 2nd. If you are supplying your own books please turn them in on or before December 7th. Thank you</p><p>****Holiday Collection Options***** Please Choose an Option and RETURN Payment in a labeled Envelope by 12-2-15</p><p>______$5.00 OPTION 1: $5.00 Plus bring in 2 books for the book exchange…</p><p>The month of December is fast approaching and as a result of the Holiday Gift Survey we are asking each family to pay $5.00 each so children can give their parents more of a Keepsake Gift and provide 2 books for the exchange. </p><p>Please include $5.00 in the attached envelope to help purchase holiday gifts for parents before 12-2-15. </p><p>If you chose the $5.00 option. Please send 2 books for the book exchange by December 7th (One for a friend and one for the classroom library; Each student will be bringing home 2 different books from the exchange.)</p><p>_____ $10.00 OPTION 2: Pay $10.00 and sit back and enjoy while Mrs. Hull does the hard work…</p><p>If you would like Mrs. Hull to do your shopping please include $10.00 in the envelope to receive a keepsake gift from your child plus 2 books from the book exchange. All vacation days, snow days, late starts, and early dismissals will be determined by the school district. Any closings due to severe weather will be announced on the radio. </p><p>Radio Stations and Television station to listen to --</p><p>KTTN – Trenton (92.3 FM) KIRK-KRXL – Kirksville (94.5 FM) KRES – Moberly KTUF (93.7 FM) KZBK (96.9 FM) KMZU KTVO – Kirksville </p><p>Tuition: </p><p>You will be charged for every day that school is in session, regardless of attendance. There will be no partial charges for short days such as late starts, early dismissals or if a child arrives late or leaves early. Every day will be based on a full day fee. Payments made for snow days will be credited to a future school day. </p><p>Outdoor Play: </p><p>Please dress your child appropriately for the weather. Children should provide their own gloves/mittens, warm hood/hat, and warm boots when appropriate for the weather. When sending your child in snow boots please send tennis shoes to wear inside the building. (Please send extra shoes for your child to wear inside when there is snow on the ground they can be stored in their backpacks or left in their cubbies for easy access.) Also, please be sure that your child has an extra winter set of clothes at preschool including socks. Just in case, their clothes get excessively wet while playing in the snow.</p><p>We cannot accept notes to keep children inside. All children will stay in or go out together. All staff will have to be outside when it is recess. Outdoor play will occur unless the conditions are extreme. </p><p>Please call the preschool at 265-3692 and let us know if your child will be absent from school.
