Course Description and Goals This course is designed to familiarize the MAT instrumental music students with the basic pedagogical and acoustical aspects of woodwind, brass, percussion and string instruments. Practical experience as both teacher and student will enhance learning, leaving students with a solid foundation for teaching in both public and private schools. Current education trends and strategies will be introduced to enable future music teachers to link music education with California teaching standards.</p><p>II.
