Lawrence Militarism Propaganda Dardanelles Total War Battle of the Marne New technology in weapons Nicholas II Joseph Stalin Leon Trotsky 4 Causes of WWI armistice Vs Surrender submarine’s role in the war How did life during wartime encourage and expansion of women’s rights?</p><p> Women were needed to work in factories to replace men fighting in the war.  Women joined the Army as nurse’s, clerks etc..  They proved that women could handle demanding & dangerous jobs and worthy of more respect.</p><p>How was U.S. entry into WWI a turning point?</p><p> The Allies morale was boosted by the arrival of U.S. troops who were fresh and energetic.  The U.S. brought with them an “unlimited” amount of financial aid to support the Allied war effort.  This took tremendous pressure off of Allied soldiers and governments.</p><p>What were the general tactics of the Schlieffen plan?</p><p> Quick victory in France by capturing Paris and forcing the French to surrender  Put all excess soldiers, equipment, and supplies onto trains and ship them east to help fight against the Russians.</p><p>What is the principle of self determination all about?  All nations have the right to choose their own form of government  Nations do not have to belong to empire’s if they wish to remain independent. </p>
