Learnings from the 2010 Appalachian Basin Gas Well Seminar Agenda and Minutes: June 8, 2010  Review leanings from the 2010 Appalachian Basin Gas Well Seminar.  What was good?  What could have been improved? – Lynn Rowlan – Had more people in his course than expected. – Great that we had people sign up late. – We should be OK on the finances. – Would prefer to have it in a hotel.</p><p>– Phil Scuillo – Need to improve advertising. – Not much value in the last panel on the Ask the Experts. – Need a certificate for continuing education. – Need a course on gas-lift and gas circulation.</p><p>– Ronda Brewer – Should have a better idea on what to expect next year. – Some people didn’t go to the course they signed up for. Appalachian Basin Gas Well Deliquification Seminar June 8, 2010 Page 2</p><p>– People didn’t know there were 30 minute breaks during the courses. – Need to have specific breaks for Day One.</p><p>– Rodney Bane – Classroom set up was difficult. – Need bigger rooms for classes. – Need to consolidate with break space. – Need better information on parking. – Need to tailor a training session for Field Operators. Practical subjects. Not technical. – The Exhibits were very good. – Need to get feedback from the Exhibitors.</p><p>– Dee Combs – Get advertising out early. – Send a follow-up letter to all attendees. – Would like to have a more central location.</p><p>– Rob Sutton – Impressed by the way it came together. – Handled well the expansion from about 100 to 150. – Want to know where people come from. – We will send a list of attendees to the Committee. – Conference Room space was good. – We need a list of recommended restaurants and bars in the area.</p><p>– Bob Chase – Lea’s session needs to be in the McDonough Center. – There is an area called the Trustees’ Conference room in the Field House. – There is another conference room in the Field House. – Would do door prize drawings in the Exhibit area. – Liked John Rinehart’s talk. – A few exhibitors wanted a connection at the Marietta Country Club for golf. Bob could organize this as a golf session on Sunday morning. – We could consider getting “special deals” at local hotels. – Include more design work in the courses.</p><p>– Kevin Dudley – Vendors didn’t get enough traffic at their booths. – Want more details in the courses.</p><p>– Tim Knobloch – Make sure authors are listed on the schedule..</p><p>– Cleon Dunham – Was disappointed with not having a river course. – This could be done on Sunday night.</p><p>2. Planning for the Future Agenda and Minutes: June 8, 2010 – Do we want to hold this Seminar again? – If we do want it again, when should it be? – The consensus is that we should have this again. – We want to avoid the time of the Calgary oil show and the Pennsylvania show. – It looks like the week of June 13 will work. We need to determine the actual days for the Appalachian Basin Gas Well Deliquification Seminar June 8, 2010 Page 3</p><p> event.</p><p>3. Seminar Venue Agenda and Minutes: June 8, 2010  If the Seminar will be held again, where should it be held? – The consensus at this meeting was that the 2011 event will be in Marietta, Ohio. – However, several of the Evaluation Sheets said they would prefer Pittsburg. – So, we need to review this decision.</p><p>4. Steering Team Agenda and Minutes: June 8, 2010 – Should others be added to the Steering Team? – Are people OK with the roles and responsibilities for members of the Steering/Planning Committee? – We need to ask Matt Vavro from Davro Well Services to join the team. – We need to ask Roger Willis from Universal Well Services. – People are OK with their roles and responsibilities.</p><p>5. Important Issues Agenda and Minutes: June 8, 2010 – Discuss the most important issues facing gas well operations and deliquification in particular, in the Appalachian Basin area. – These will help form the basis for the major topics to be addressed in the next Seminar. – We need to focus on:  Gas-lift.  Artificial lift that is used in the Barnett.  Best practices from the Barnett, Haynesville: Bill Elmer  Sessions on Horizontals and Shale: there was an overlap. – Biggest challenges in Marcellus: . Managing fluid produced. . Producing existing wells which are neglected, . Water issues with fracturing, . Concern of “black eyes” to the industry . How to bring wells back after a fracture. . Best types of artificial lift to use. . Life of well considerations. . Stay on the decline curve. . Automation. . Compression. . Scale, salt deposition, corrosion.</p><p>6. Seminar Agenda Agenda and Minutes: June 8, 2010 – Discuss the tentative agenda for the next Seminar. – Did the agenda we used this time work? – Should the event be longer, shorter? – Should it include Continuing Education, Technical Presentations, Panel Discussions, and Breakout Sessions? – This was not discussed at this meeting.</p><p>7. Keynote Speaker Agenda and Minutes: June 8, 2010  Discuss potential people to be keynote Speaker. – This was not discussed at this meeting.
