Information for the media</p><p>View the latest media release View all media releases View media images and footage on our incident gallery International media: +64 27 812 7013 or +64 27 815 4849 or +64 27 820 4165 email: [email protected]</p><p>Media updates MEDIA UPDATE 6.45am: [3 Nov 2011]</p><p> An observation flight this morning confirmed no change to the vessel overnight  The salvage teams came off the vessel overnight – they will be returning to the ship this morning to resume work begun yesterday (see last night’s media release for detail) [Update 71]  Conditions around Rena have improved since yesterday with winds of between 15 and 20 knots, and 1.5-2 metre swells.</p><p>MEDIA REMINDER: </p><p>It is critical to safe operations that the aerial and marine exclusion zone around Rena is observed and respected.</p><p>Entering the exclusion zone can seriously impact on the recovery operation and put those working on salvaging the ship at risk. It is also an offence to enter the exclusion zone and anyone found breaching this zone could be fined up to $20,000. Please DO NOT go to the waterfront expecting to be given access. Please contact the Response Media Team on 0800 774 554 to arrange access, and we will coordinate this. Any media not doing this will be turned away. 2. The forward operations area contains significant and numerous hazards. Media cleared to visit the base must BRING the following: </p><p>- a high visibility vest</p><p>- hard hat</p><p>- life jacket</p><p>- suitable footwear 3. Anyone not bringing or wearing suitable protective clothing will be denied access.
