<p>Dear Friends of Maryland 4-H,</p><p>Announcing a new opportunity to be involved in the Maryland 4-H Foundation! </p><p>In recognition of the impact of professional development on the success of University of Maryland 4-H Youth Development Educator careers Kendra Wells is establishing the Richard R. Angus Maryland 4-H Professional Development Scholarship fund. </p><p>The purpose of the Dr. Angus Scholarship Fund shall be to provide one annual $1,000 or two annual $500 scholarships for 4-H staff, tenure track and non-tenure track to encourage, stimulate and support professional development through participation in courses, seminars, conferences, workshops, or other professional learning opportunities. The scholarship will be awarded to recipient(s) who desire to participate in a professional development experience based on: the way the opportunity would enhance one’s ability to do their professional work; the potential to build individual and program capacity; and financial need. </p><p>Would you be interested in supporting this scholarship fund? Kendra has offered a 100% match for every donation received until December 31, 2013. This is an opportunity to support the legacy of Dr. Dick Angus and to establish the first scholarship of its kind with the Maryland 4-H Foundation. </p><p>Many of us would not have been able to achieve success in our careers without professional development opportunities.
