
<p> LOCAL EMERGENCY PLANNING COMMITTEE</p><p>Minutes for Meeting of December 10th, 2014</p><p>Present:</p><p>Greg Delauter, Kevin Potter, Adam Anderko, Kimberly Giles, Clayne Shakespear, Blair Westergard, Lee Perry, Joseph Bach, Jim Hess, Albert Whipple, Art Deyo, Derek Oyler, Justin Hobbs, Kurt Robinette, Steve Batis, Teri Howick, Tory Jackman, Klay Hinck, Ty Bailey, Tiffine Wanner and Marsha Andersen.</p><p>Corey Barton, Kevin Christensen, Dorene Stever, Mike Nelsen and Janet Bass were excused from the meeting.</p><p>The meeting was opened at 9:00 a.m. by Adam Anderko, and was held at the Box Elder County Sheriff Department. The Minutes from the November 12th meeting were approved.</p><p>Kimberly Giles reminded everyone about the April Shakeout and other training that is coming up. See their website at www.publicsafety.utah.gov/emergencymanagement for more information.</p><p>Kevin Potter stated that the hazmat disposal handouts are still available, and we need to start thinking about the using the grant money. The Code Red agreements are all signed and we are now waiting on training. Also, there is Be Ready Business training beginning February 24th at the Clearfield City Offices. A copy of the flyer is being attached to the emailed Minutes.</p><p>Ty Bailey was introduced as the Bureau Chief for the State DEM. </p><p>Clayne Shakespear from the BRHD stated they responded to two incidents; one being a diesel spill and the other being an oil spill. Both occurred on I-84 and did not impact any waterways.</p><p>Joseph Bach stated that the Brigham City Fire Department will be hosting a Fire Fighter 1 class.</p><p>Derek Oyler advised that Brigham City will have an ICS 300 class the first or second week of January.</p><p>At this time Ty Bailey gave a presentation on LEPC’s and their responsibilities, EPCRA, Tier 2’s and SERC.</p><p>The meeting was adjourned at 9:50 a.m.</p><p>In lieu of the January LEPC meeting everyone is encouraged to attend the Weber County Peer Exchange. </p>
