BOX 1091 MARION, OH 43301-1091</p><p>May 6, 2014 </p><p>MARION TECH HELPING VETERANS</p><p>Chad Snyder will introduce us to Jim Funk, who is Professor of Business Technologies at Marion Technical College. His program is about Veterans at MTC and benefits he helps them receive for their service to our Country. He is the chair of the Veterans Taskforce, which is working to expand opportunities for active duty personnel, veterans, and dependents to receive academic credit for their military training and experience at MTC.</p><p>Our speaker served as a Commander in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps of the U.S. Navy Reserve. He is an attorney licensed to practice law in the state of Ohio, in the United States District Courts in Ohio, in the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Court of Criminal Appeals for the Armed Forces.</p><p>Mr. Funk presently serves on, Chancellor of Higher Education, John Carey’s Military Imple- mentation Committee that is investigating means of standardizing credit for military training and experience throughout the University System of Ohio.
