<p> Brisbane Chinese Alliance Church The Christian and Missionary Alliance of Australia</p><p>Youth Worker Position 19th September 2016</p><p>Brisbane Chinese Alliance Church is a Christian and Missionary Alliance church located in Rochedale on the southside of Brisbane.</p><p>We have ministries in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English totaling around 350 per Sunday. Currently there are two English speaking youth groups, Teens Fellowship (grades 5-8) and Youth Fellowship (grades 9-12). It is predominantly made up of second generation Chinese and second generation Christians. These youth ministries are particularly connected to the English Ministry.</p><p>We are seeking a Youth Worker (0.5 FTE) to oversee our youth ministry. The role has flexibility in terms of time and responsibility, based on the applicant’s experience, skill set, and existing commitments. They will be responsible to the Board of Elders.</p><p>The position could begin immediately for an initial contract of 2 years.</p><p>Responsibilities include:  Ministering as part of the pastoral team  Reviewing/Developing the teaching curriculum for youth ministry and equip leaders to teach it  Developing an annual schedule/calendar for youth ministry that integrates into the wider church calendar  Identifying, training, supporting, and discipling youth ministry leaders  Mobilising and equipping youth for evangelism  Developing a healthy bridge between the ministry and the parents</p><p>The successful applicant will have:  Completed at least 1 year equivalent of theological studies  Demonstrated good leadership skills  A passion for, experience in, and (preferably) training in youth ministry  Demonstrated good cross-cultural & cross-generational relationship skills  Ministry/cultural experience in an Asian setting (preferable, not essential)</p><p>A successful applicant will be expected to complete the C&MA pastoral licensing requirements, which includes an ongoing professional development program.</p><p>If this is you and you are excited about being part of our church and ministry, please forward your CV to [email protected]</p><p>983 Rochedale Road, Rochedale QLD 4123 P.O. We run a centralised children’s program for children from all three congregations. All children’s ministry programs are run in English.</p><p>We are seeking a Children’s Worker (0.5 FTE) to help oversee our children’s ministry (grade 4 and under). The role has flexibility in terms of time and responsibilities, based on the applicant’s experience, skill set and existing commitments.
