<p> TOWN OF LA RONGE Manager, Recycling & Waste Management</p><p>The Town of La Ronge is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic individual for the position of Manager, Recycling & Waste Management for the Lac La Ronge Regional Waste Management Corporation (LLRRWMC). The region is presently entering a new multi material stewardship recycling program and an engineering study of their landfill for a more sustainable operational model. </p><p>Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer and the Board of the LLRRWMC, the Manager is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the landfill and recycle centre, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory bodies, researching markets for recycle material, budgeting and general accounting as required. In addition the position is responsible for development of policy, planning, operations and reporting on all solid waste management programs and facilities, as well as overseeing specific environmental issues and projects as directed by CAO in consultation with the Board. This position supervises approximately 5 staff.</p><p>The successful candidate must be able to perform and/or manage multiple tasks and priorities and be a skilled and tactful communicator, both orally and in written form, including good spelling and grammatical skills.</p><p>Required Knowledge and Skills:</p><p> Regulatory and program requirements related to solid waste management and recycling in Saskatchewan.</p><p> Public educational methods.</p><p> Day to day operational requirements of recycle depots and landfill sites including collection, processing and marketing of recyclable materials.</p><p> Understanding of the intent and content of municipal bylaws and ability to explain and enforce them.</p><p> Proficient in maintaining detailed records and producing reports.</p><p> A minimum of three (3) years practical experience in waste management or environmental programs, or an equivalent of appropriate training and experience</p><p> Knowledge and experience in the supervision of personnel.</p><p> Certification from the Solid Waste Association of North America in recycling or landfill management would be an asset.</p><p>Salary ranges from $58,633 to $69,720 per year, based on experience.</p><p>The position requires a valid driver’s license and the successful candidate must submit to a criminal record check.</p><p>Please note that the Town of La Ronge conducts global reference checks; all previous employers may be contacted.</p><p>Please submit a resume and expected salary to the following on or before 4:00 pm June 9th, 2017:</p><p>Chief Administrative Officer Town of La Ronge Box 5680 La Ronge, SK S0J 1L0 Fax - (306) 425-3883 Phone - (306) 425-2066 Email: [email protected]</p>
