Plan to Attend Free Estate Planning Seminar January 20

Ask the experts at free estate planning seminar January 20

Proper estate planning is critical for all Canadians. It can provide you with peace of mind, secure in the knowledge that your interests, and those of your loved ones are well taken care of. Many people shy away from estate planning, believing it is only for the wealthy. But the truth is that as long as you have assets and liabilities, you need an estate plan. Estate planning gives you the opportunity to ensure that those who depend on you have the resources to carry on. It can also help minimize taxes, ensuring that more of your wealth goes to your heirs, or to the charity of your choice. To shed light on this important subject, the Almonte General/Fairview Manor (AGH/FVM) Foundation’s Gift Planning Committee is hosting a free estate planning seminar. The estate planning seminar will take place on Wednesday, January 20 at 7 p.m. in the new Fairview Manor Great Room. A team of four experts—Lawyer Douglas Buchmayer, LLB, of Drache Tax Estates and Charity Law; Ben McNeely, CA, of Kelly, Huibers and McNeely; Art Solomonian, CSA, of Mousseau and Associates; and Paul Virgin, CLU, of Time and Money Planners will do a presentation on:  Wills, Estates and Trusts  Stocks and Bonds  Tax Planning  Life Insurance Planning  Gift Planning Strategies  Income Planning. A question and answer session will follow the presentation. Defining your wishes through a well thought out estate plan is an opportunity to create a lasting legacy. Everyone is welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be served. Seating is limited, so if you plan to attend please call AGH/FVM Foundation Executive Director Gerry Huddleston at 613-256-2514 ext. 2297 or e-mail ghuddleston@agh- fvm.com. If you are not available January 20th, 2010 but would like to be notified about future estate planning seminars please contact Gerry. “This is a great opportunity to gain important information and to ask the experts the estate planning questions you have,” said Mr. Huddleston. “We look forward to seeing you at the seminar.”
