The charts and tables in the final report should capture interdependencies at various times after the event. Interdependencies also have two characteristics that contribute to their severity – how many other systems are dependent upon it but also how quickly it is recovered. For example, our exercise revealed that many systems for recovery are dependent upon communications, but that communications should be restored within a week of the disaster. 2. Liquefaction vulnerability assessment: preliminary findings. Findings reveal that much of the boring data available at airports was done for pavement design only, and lacked sufficient depth for meaningful liquefaction analysis. It was suggested that the maps be labeled as to why only certain available boring holes were used for liquefaction analysis. Many suggested the possibility of pursuing an additional project to do further boring at municipal airports purposefully for geotechnical analysis 3. Role of airports: preliminary report draft Jeanne Perkins’ presentation brought up a general interest in Moffett Field as the airfield most suitable for post-disaster use. Jeanne will create recommendations based on her research to present back to all of her interviewees for confirmation. She will also send the recommendations to the advisory committee for feedback. Jeanne requested contacts at FedEx – Colette and Dana had potential contacts. It was also suggested that Jeanne contact Andy Richards, District Manager for the Golden Gate Air Traffic District, for information on airport towers. 6. Meeting Debrief There was discussion about how to get greater participation in meetings 7. Announcements, as requested There were no announcements 8. Date of Next Meeting The next meeting will be held April 25, 2013.

Mailing Address: P.O. Box 2050 Oakland, California 94604-2050 (510)464-7900 Fax: (510) 464-7970 [email protected] Joseph P.
