This nationwide student led initiative is a gathering at the flagpole to pray for our school, families, and nation. We invite you to join McKee families for this special day committed to global unity in Christ and prayer for our generation. For more information, please contact [email protected].</p><p>Classroom Volunteers Needed</p><p>Currently we have 14 classes without a Character Chat volunteer and any help would be greatly appreciated. The time commitment is only 20-30 minutes per month to present the designated character trait and explore what it means with the children. A handout with ideas for discussion, questions and class activities, as well as DVDs, with short movie clips that demonstrate the trait are provided. You can read directly from the handout, show clips, do suggested activities, whatever is most comfortable for you. Please see attached flyer for more details. Signups begin on September 25th and auditions will start on September 30th. Practice your performances and get ready for this showcase of McKee talent!</p><p>Jamboree Auction</p><p>PTA volunteers have been hard at work for several months working on donations for the Jamboree Silent Auction but we need your help. Do you frequent a local business that you would be willing to ask for a donation? Do you own a business that would like to help support the silent auction? Bring your quarters to purchase gel pens, pencils, notebooks and erasers!</p><p>Thank you Dilworth Coffee!</p><p>An All Star thank you to Ms. Hilina Girma and her husband Eskender, operators of the new Dilworth Coffee location, for providing coffee at our Welcome Breakfast last week. They are located in Plantation Market (corner of McKee and Weddington) a few doors down from Harris Teeter. Hours are M-F 6:30am – 7pm and Saturday 8am – 7pm.
