<p> JPPSS Summer School FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)</p><p>1. Where will summer school be held? Summer School will be held at Grace King on the east bank and John Ehret on the west bank.</p><p>2. What are the dates of summer school? The 2015 summer school session will be conducted May 28, 2015 through July 22, 2014. There are 2 semesters of summer school: Semester A May 28th – June 24th and Semester B June 25th – July 22nd. </p><p>3. When is summer school registration? Summer school registration will be held from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Grace King and John Ehret as follow: Semester A (1st session) on May 28, 2015 and Semester B (2nd session) on June 25, 2015. </p><p>4. What are the summer school hours of operation?</p><p>The summer school sites are opened Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.</p><p>5. What do I need to register for summer school? The following documents are required for summer school registration: 2014-2015 Final Report Card, Summer School Permission Form, and a proof of residence (e.g. utility bill, driver’s license, passport and/or etc.)</p><p>7. Where are Summer School Permission Forms issued? Summer School Permission Forms are issued by the school. Please see an administrator, guidance counselor and/or academic dean at your school to request a form. </p><p>8. How much does summer school cost?</p><p>$30.00 summer school registration fee + (1 x $265.00 per course = $265.00) for residents of JP = $295.00 $30.00 summer school registration fee + (1 x $365.00 per course = $365.00) for non residents of JP = $395.00 or $30.00 summer school registration fee + (2 x $265.00 per course = $530.00) for residents of JP = $560.00 $30.00 summer school registration fee + (2 x $365.00 per course = $730.00) for non residents of JP = $760.00</p><p>9. What are the accepted forms of payment for summer school fees?</p><p>Cashier Check or Money Order made payable to Jefferson Parish Public School System or (JPPSS). 10. When are the summer school fees due?</p><p>All summer school fees must be paid in FULL on the day of registration.</p><p>11. Is transportation provided to and from summer school?</p><p>No, students, parents or guardians are responsible for transportation to and from summer school.</p><p>12. Are students allowed to attend summer school at either summer school site? Yes, students are allowed to attend either summer school site. </p><p>13. What grade levels are allowed to attend JPPSS summer school?</p><p>JPPSS summer school is ONLY open to students currently enrolled in grades 8th through 12th. </p><p>14. Are students required to attend summer school classes every day? No, students have the option of attending class at the summer school site and/or accessing the PLATO Online Learning System at home to complete their PLATO coursework via high speed internet. A Summer School Online Learning Agreement is required to exercise any of those options. However, tests, mid-semester exams and final exams must be taken at the summer school site. </p><p>16. Can 8th grade summer remediation students attend summer school? Parents of Grade 8 students who are required to attend summer remediation and summer school must consult with their attendance school principal to determine which summer program to attend.</p><p>17.
