eRA Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Public Briefing

The National Institutes of Health held a public briefing on March 4, 2002, regarding a recently released Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Request for Application (RFA). The purpose of the SBIR is to stimulate the development of applications and services that could be purchased by or licensed to NIH grantee organizations. The NIH hopes that applications and services resulting from this RFA will provide grantee organizations with the tools for continued electronic interaction with the NIH. At the briefing, staff provided information about the eRA project and answered questions potential vendors had regarding this SBIR opportunity.

Attendee List (http://era.nih.gov/Docs/SBIR_Attendee_List_03-04-02.doc)

Questions and Answers from Briefing (http://era.nih.gov/Docs/SBIR_QA_03-04-02.doc)

eRA SBIR RFA (http://grants1.nih.gov/grants/guide/rfa-files/RFA-RR-02-004.html).

SBIR Public Briefing Agenda

10:00 a.m. EST Welcome and Introduction Jerry Stuck, Coordinator of Commons Activities, eRA Project 10:05 a.m. EST Overview of eRA SBIR Opportunity Jerry Stuck, Coordinator of Commons Activities, eRA Project: http://era.nih.gov/Docs/WelcomeRevised.ppt

10:30 a.m. EST NIH Electronic Research Administration: NIH Commons Interface to the Extramural Grantee Community George Stone, Ph.D.Extramural Inventions and Technology Resources Branch, OPERA/NIH: http://era.nih.gov/Docs/NIH_CommonsRevised.ppt

11:15 a.m. EST Introduction to Data Standards Paul Markovitz, Senior Advisor for Federal Commons, eRA Project: http://era.nih.gov/Docs/Data_Standards.ppt

Noon–2:00 p.m. EST Questions and Answers

Webcast Information The Webcast for the public briefing has been archived at the following site: http://videocast.nih.gov/.
