Created plant-wide network using Ethernet to network 30 Allen-Bradley SLC 5/03 processors to a central computer for data acquisition, using Allen Bradley NET-ENI modules for communication and XLReporter for data collection. Introduced Device-Net to plant being used for Allen Bradley Panelviews, Ultra 3000 Servo drives, Adaptascan Barcode readers, Temposonics LVDTs, and Allen Bradley Flex I/O remote I/O modules. Implemented Keyence Color vision system to verify a percentage of paint coverage. Assisted maintenance personnel in troubleshooting machinery. </p><p>April, 1999 – March, 2000 Eaton Corporation Saginaw, MI Electrical Engineer</p><p> Responsible for maintenance and productivity improvements of existing machinery using various Allen-Bradley and Cutler-Hammer processors. Saginaw, MI</p><p>Oct., 1998 – April, 1999</p><p>Controls Engineer</p><p> Designed a control system for a material handling system with PC Control, including Operator Interface screens for the GM L6 Project. Designed HMI templates for all OEM’s of L6 Casting Program. Developed template ladder logic and HMI screens for various devices including variable frequency drives, ABB Robots, and PROFIBUS diagnostic screens for all distributed I/O. Tested new versions of Taylor’s Waltz Ladder Logic and Process Windows HMI.</p><p>July, 1996 – Oct., 1997</p><p>Manufacturing Engineer (Contracted Into Delphi Saginaw Steering System)  Responsible for maintenance and upgrade of existing machinery and approving designs for future machines in the Intermediate Shaft Final Assembly Area. Worked with outside designers on quick change over and error-proofing of lean manufacturing assembly cells.</p><p>Feb., 1995 – July, 1996 General Motors Powertrain, Bay City, MI Co-op Student</p><p> Created a database to record machine work histories to assist in implementation of a computerized maintenance management system using Microsoft Access.
