<p> TO REPORT AN ABSENCE 2014/2015</p><p>When a student is absent, we ask a parent or guardian to notify the attendance office in writing of the reason for the absence. Phone calls are not documentation for excused absences. Parents or guardians have the following options for reporting an absence:</p><p> Email [email protected] </p><p> From the JM Robinson website click on Report an Absence. This will direct you to the email above.</p><p> Send a written, signed note from parent, guardian or physician when student returns to school. Notes should be given to the attendance office/welcome desk.</p><p>Please include the dates and reasons for each absence. Excused absences are limited by law to a student’s personal illness, attendance at a funeral of a member of the immediate family, a court-ordered appearance or an appointment (medical or dental only) that cannot be scheduled outside the normal school day.</p>
