<p> San Antonio Special Programs Co-op General Employment Notice Lead Licensed Specialist in School Psychology In-District Applicants Only</p><p>JOB DESCRIPTION The Lead Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) serves as the lead assessment representative to coordinate diagnostic information from various sources, oversee timelines and data reported to the Texas Education Agency. The Lead LSSP oversees co- op schools and provides needed services, counseling, problem solving, and educational strategies. The Lead LSSP will assist in the development of operating guidelines and policies regarding evaluation.</p><p>EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS  Master’s Degree in School Psychology or related field  Licensed Specialist in School Psychology  Knowledge, skills, and experience in the areas of child development and psychological assessment  External candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting check. Non- refundable fee (approximately $50.00) paid by employee  Bilingual (Spanish Preferred)</p><p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  Conduct assessments to include but not limited to psycho educational, functional behavioral, autism, ADHD, achievement, etc.  Participate in the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) committee to assist with appropriate placement and development of the Individual Education Plans for students.  Consult with relevant persons regarding the educational needs of students and interpretation of assessment data.  Consult with psychologist, psychiatrists, medical doctors, and community agencies concerning intellectual, emotional, and behavioral functioning of students as needed.  Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy in the areas of psychological services, assessment, placement, and planning for special education services.  Ensure timelines are met by compiling, maintaining, and filing all reports, records, and other documents required, including case records, test results, statistical data, and test inventories.  Willing to take on various roles and responsibilities.  Ability to work with diverse administration, staff, parents, students, and related service providers.  Have an ethical responsibility and practices ethical decision making at all times.  Participate in educational opportunities for professional growth and development.  Perform other duties as assigned by superiors.  Manage and maintain data to report to the Texas Education Agency.  Supervise evaluation personnel and providers. WORKING CONDITIONS  Must be able to problem solve.  Must be able to work well under pressure.  Must be able to organize and manage multiple priorities and/or projects by using appropriate methodologies and tools to maintain deadlines/timelines.  Must be able to work as part of a highly functioning team.  Must be willing to travel.  Must be able to interpret data collected and make appropriate and meaningful recommendations as required.  Must be able to maintain a positive working relationship with staff, management, and co-op members.  Daily attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job.  Must be able to supervise and support evaluation personnel and providers.  Must be able to effectively participate in conflict resolution situations with co-op personnel, district personnel, contractors, or parents.  Occasional light lifting and carrying of test materials.</p><p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT Salary: Approved by Board Type of assignment: Full-Time, Exempt Minimum Work Days: 205</p>
