<p> Employee Self-Service</p><p>Employee Self-Service (ESS) offers you quick, efficient online access to your employment information. You can:</p><p> View your pay advice by month for the last two (2) years  Print your own pay advice after the monthly payroll run  View your pay summary by year for the last eight (8) years  View your leave balance, usage, and accruals by month  Change your address  Change your emergency contacts  View your federal tax withholding selection</p><p> And brand new in mid-January 2008, you will be able to view and print your 2007 W2 in ESS. The SAO will still print and mail 2007 W2s. In January 2009, you will be able to print your own W2 by mid-January, which will eliminate the wait for W2s by mail at the end of January!</p><p>IMPORTANT:</p><p>If you have not used ESS in the last six months, your password has been reset this month. Your id is still your Payroll Employee ID (includes leading zeros). Your Payroll Employee ID is located on the top right corner of your pay advice/stub. You initial password will be the current month’s Control Number followed by Ess# (Example: 1234567Ess#). The Control Number is also located on the top right corner of your pay advice/stub. </p><p>You will be prompted to change your password the first time you access the ESS system. When changing your password, you must use at least 8 characters, and they must contain an upper case letter, a lower case letter, a number, and a special character of @, #, or $. Remember, ESS passwords are case sensitive. Your password will only need to be changed once every 6 months. </p><p>For detailed instructions, the ESS User’s Guide is located on the State Auditor’s Office website: sao.state.wy.us.
