<p> th Wednesday 25 January 2012 – E-Commerce (MMW) Lesson 5 Unit Lecturer: Maureen Duh</p><p>TODAY’S MAIN OBJECTIVE:</p><p>Hand in draft Assignment 1 (P1-P4) by the end of the lesson.</p><p>RECAP:</p><p>Legislation: Go on wikispaces to complete the exercises as displayed under Session Seven.</p><p>CONTINUATION:</p><p>Focus on fully completing all assessment criteria for P1, P2, P3 and P4.</p><p>SUBMISSION ADVICE:</p><p>Check print preview BEFORE printing.</p><p>Use Print Properties tab to print back to back where necessary.</p><p>Ensure your name and student number is present on all sheets. You were encouraged to make further notes during the discussion. - Using the ITW, class to participate in identifying main drawbacks. *20minutes allocated to complete the ‘Risks’ task.</p><p>*If 100% completed before the allocated time, start thinking about how e-commerce businesses promote themselves if not well-known. Write down your thoughts.</p><p>NEW LEARNING:</p><p>You will be introduced to Legislation concerning E-Commerce sites.</p><p>Task 3 (P4) Legislation Describe each of the major pieces of legislation to which all e-commerce business must adhere to. For each piece of legislation explain how it would affect Cuckoo, giving examples, if they were to begin trading online. (Focus on the UK laws and reference your sources).</p><p>PRACTICAL: Assignment advice content: </p><p>Create a leaflet personalised to Cuckoo. Consider the fold style you will use for the leaflet layout (book, window or fan style). Remember this is from a business point of view.</p><p> Refer to Microsoft PowerPoint to progress with Task 2</p><p>Identify the BENEFITS to a business for trading on-line. Refer to my notes on Wikispaces (E- Commerce benefits.ppt). Ensure to cover all the main titles. The PowerPoint slides should be laid out using the following format:</p><p> o Title</p><p> o Main bullet points</p><p> o Related images</p><p> o Expand on content points to show my knowledge and understanding using notes pages format</p><p> Today’s target is to ensure Task 1(P1) and Task 2(P2) Benefits are 100% complete.</p><p> EXTENSION: Continue with Task 2(P3) ‘Risks’. Aim to complete this in the next lesson.</p><p> TIPS: Ensure to give as much detail and examples where possible. Make comparisons where possible. Watch out for spelling and grammatical errors.
