<p>Minutes Monday, August 18, 2014</p><p>Attendance- Fran McCracken, Jenny Slinker, Alicia Wren, Chasity Shipley, Pam Carter, Haley Johnson, Dustin Gentile, Michael Davis</p><p>The PLC discussed the following:</p><p> Data Review – Explore Form 05B A. We want our students to know that they are allowed to write in the test booklets – to use the booklet as their working document. B. Make better connections with vocabulary to operations and vocabulary to strategies (of means to multiply; ratio – fraction – proportion; circumference and diameter) C. Practice more lengthy problems (maybe during Do Now time), multi-step, scaffolding, tables/graph/data</p><p> How we, as math teachers, are addressing Writing A. Do Nows – more short answer type format and/or in complete sentences – model a good example B. Open Response – student scoring sample responses and being required to justify score in writing – relevant material to current content C. Incorporate different means of interpretations such as reading/interpreting graphs/tables/charts/diagrams D. Task Analysis – only do what your partner tells you to do</p><p> IXL – Haley explained student ID numbers and the program.</p><p>Special Note: Below are our PLC Goals and Walkthrough Form which has been submitted to the office from July 31, 2014 Professional Development.</p><p>PLC Goals I.
