<p>Joe Ybarra, PharmD, BCNSP</p><p>Joe Ybarra, is a Nutrition Support Pharmacy Specialist at the Vanderbilt Center for Human Nutrition. He is board certified in Nutrition Support Pharmacy Practice and holds affiliate academic appointments with The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Belmont University, and Lipscomb University.</p><p>Education</p><p>Dr. Ybarra received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy in Auburn, Alabama. He completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital at the Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas and a Nutrition Support/Critical Care Specialty Residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin.</p><p>Work and Teaching Experience</p><p>Previous to his current position, he served as an Assistant Clinical Professor in Pharmacy Practice at Auburn University. His teaching experience includes facilitating small group learning experiences, precepting students in their experiential rotations, and lecturing pharmacy students in acute care and nutrition support pharmacy.</p><p>Professional Activities</p><p>American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, Middle Tennessee Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, American College of Clinical Pharmacy, American Society of Health- System Pharmacists, and Society of Critical Care Medicine.
