Jones County Community Foundation Accepting Grant Applications

<p>June 1, 2015 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE</p><p>Jones County Community Foundation accepting grant applications</p><p>The board of advisors of the Jones County Community Foundation is currently accepting grant requests for community projects funded from the Jones County Community Fund.</p><p>“Funds are available for nonprofit organizations that serve general charitable needs in Jones County,” said Dan Ryan, Grants Chair.</p><p>The Grant Application cycle will begin on June 19. Applications are available online only. Visit nccommunityfoundation.org and select “Affiliates” then “Jones” for information about applying online. Grants range from $500-$700. The deadline for submitting applications is at noon on August 4.</p><p>Since 2006, the Jones County Community Foundation and its associated funds have awarded grants and scholarships to local nonprofits. “Our local donors are key to the success of the annual grant program” said Dan Ryan, Grants Chair. “Every dollar the people of Jones County deposit into the endowment fund stays right here in Jones County to benefit and support our local nonprofits.” The Jones County Community Foundation is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation. The Community Fund was established to help support local charitable needs through annual grants. Jones County Board members include: Victor C. Bryan, (President), Allen Bender (Vice President), Ivy Brantley (Secretary-Treasurer), Dan Ryan (Grant Chair), Charles Henderson, (Immediate Past President), Elois S.
