<p> PlayDev 2013 Application Form</p><p>The CSU PlayDev Program provides development opportunities for new and diverse voices for the theater by supporting student playwrights and actors in collaboration on the development of original plays. This program consists in part of multiple developmental rehearsals designed to reveal areas for growth in the plays and allow for revision by the playwright. </p><p>The PlayDev Program seeks ambitious, engaging, and theatrical work by writers with clear statements of purpose who are open to a collaborative development process.</p><p>Writers selected for PlayDev are provided with two developmental rehearsals and a public staged reading, followed by a moderated talkback with the audience. The goal of these activities is to address the playwrights’ self-defined developmental goals for their plays, as well as opportunities to engage with the PlayDev network in a community of support and conversation.</p><p>A complete submission is composed of two parts: </p><p>1) A completed application form. 2) 10 pages of an original one act play, with your name included on the Title Page. </p><p>Incomplete submissions will not be considered. Before submitting your materials, please review the SUBMISSION GUIDELINES on the next page.</p><p>1 SUBMISSION GUIDELINES</p><p> Submit ONE completed application and 10 pages of ONE one-act play (max 40 minutes performance time).</p><p> No more than ONE play per playwright will be considered.</p><p> List the play title and your full name on the Title Page.</p><p> Email submissions only. Finalists will receive an email requesting the full script in consideration in early October. Final decisions will be made in mid-October. </p><p>All participants in PlayDev must be present for both rehearsals and the staged reading of his/her play.
