Treadmill Rotation

The TREADMILL ROTATION is a chance to learn basic treadmill skills as well as gain skill in an outpatient subspecialty clinic. Monday-Wednesday-Friday mornings are spent with the UNC Cardiac Rehabilitation Program where there are anywhere from 2-5 treadmills done each morning. The remainder of the morning is spent on the floor with patients and cardiac rehabilitation staff (casual clothes recommended) where you will learn what it means to refer a patient to cardiac rehabilitation. The afternoons and Tuesday and Thursday are spent at the UNC Cardiology Clinic seeing patients with Dr. Miller and /or other cardiology attendings with interesting patients. Within the clinic, you will be exposed to echocardiography, stress echocardiography, nuclear studies, reading ECGs and devices. Friday afternoons are free time.

Preceptor: Paula Miller, MD
