Volunteers allow the WRC to help create a campus environment where women will thrive by providing resources and collaborating on a variety of projects. The program also gives volunteers the opportunity to learn about and engage in gender equity and social justice work, as well as develop important leadership, networking, and professional skills. </p><p>I. VOLUNTEER CONDITIONS  Position is unpaid  Position is selected and supervised by the Volunteer Coordinator and Associate Director  3 - 6 hours/week  Mandatory initial two day training is required and offered fall semester</p><p>II. QUALIFICATIONS  Necessary qualifications o Interest in women’s issues o Commitment to diversity, gender equity, and social justice o Dependability  Helpful qualifications o Volunteer experience o Communication and active listening skills o Community building experience</p><p>III. RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES  Attend mandatory weekly volunteer training meetings  Learn about campus and community resources to effectively provide resources and referrals, answer questions, and help people find information in the WRC  Help keep the center staffed and open during business hours as well as help with the day- to-day functions of the Center. This includes staffing the volunteer desk and answering the main telephone.  Promote the WRC on campus by staffing information tables, distributing flyers, buttons and handbooks, chalking and general marketing to the campus community  Volunteers will be matched with a student staff member and focus their work on either programming or outreach  Assist with work needed to keep the resource library organized and current  Additional tasks as given by Volunteer Coordinator WRC VOLUNTEER APPLICATION Name: ______Phone: ______Address: ______E-mail: ______Date: ______Birthdate: ______Major: ______Expected Graduation: ______</p><p>Why are you interested in volunteering at the Women’s Resource Center?
