<p>DO  Be prepared for each and every interview  Tell the company if you have a disability which needs them to make special arrangements  Research the company if you can – check out their website, or ring them and request some company information  Check how long the journey will take – get directions if you need to  Ask if you don’t understand a question  Answer questions as fully as you can – try to avoid yes/no answers, but don’t waffle</p><p>DON’T  Think that you can ‘get by’ because you know the organisation  Get impatient if the interviewer keeps you waiting – they might just be running late  Smoke  Swear (even mildly)  Criticise former employers  Think of the interview as a one sided event  Take rejection personally</p>
