McConkey, OEO ESG Senior Manager </p><p>Date: February 4, 2015</p><p>Re: REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS (RFA) Emergency Solutions Grant Program</p><p>The Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity (OEO) is soliciting applications for the Program Year 2015 Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Program. ESG is a United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) grant authorized under the 1988 Stewart B. McKinney Homeless Assistance Act as amended by the HEARTH Act. According to the Act, the State may make grants to Units of Local Government and Non-Profit, 501(c) 3, Organizations that have certification from their Unit of Local Government to carry out the duties of the grant. ESG funds may be used for the following activities:</p><p> Street Outreach  Emergency Shelter  Homelessness Prevention  Rapid Rehousing  Homeless Information Management Systems (HMIS)</p><p>All grant funds will be awarded through a competitive process. An applicant may apply for a maximum of $100,000 for street outreach and emergency shelter activities.</p><p>An applicant may apply for a maximum of $250,000 for Homelessness Prevention, Rapid Re-housing, and HMIS.</p><p>Organizations interested in applying for funds must submit a complete application package in compliance with the requirements stipulated in the 2015 Request for Applications (RFA) package. The RFA package can be found on OEO’s website located at http://www.oepp.sc.gov/oeo/forms.htm.
