<p> 2016 Jean Andre Tournament Rules - Tyke</p><p>The Jean Andre Tournament adopts the 2015 BCLA/CLA Tyke Rules ‘‘L’’ and Regulations to govern all tournament play.</p><p>Game Time - Equal Playing Time  The duration of a game shall be three (3), fifteen-minute periods with running time. Due to tournament play we are unable to go beyond allotted game times.  There is a two (2) minute break between periods.  Third period will be shortened accordingly, if games are running late, in order to stay on schedule.  All players should receive the same playing time.</p><p>Playing Surface  3x3 regulated nets will be used</p><p>Rules of Play  Each period will start with a face-off.  After a goal is scored, play resumes with possession to the goaltender that was scored on. The opposing team must clear the zone.  After the ball is put into play by the goalie, there must be at least one pass attempt made before attempting to score.  Fall back rule: The fall back rule applies when possession is gained by the goalkeeper. All defensive players must enter the neutral zone. Once all the defensive players are in the neutral zone, they are free to go wherever they want. The goalkeeper must pass the ball to one of the offensive players who must be outside of the dotted line.</p><p>Contact and Penalties  Defensive players may place their stick on the ball carrier and push (steer) them away.  A defensive player may check an offensive player by placing their stick head on an opposing player’s stick head.  There is to be no body checking. There should be no collisions or kids being knocked down.  Penalties will be called and served in accordance with BCLA/CLA Rules.</p><p>Score  A score sheet must be completed prior to each game.  All goals, assists, and penalties are recorded and the score is displayed on the scoreboard.  A differential of more than five goals will not be displayed on the scoreboard.  The final score shall be registered on the score sheet and must be signed by all officials for insurance purposes.</p><p>Referees  There will be 2 referees per game</p>
