<p>Cultural Influences in Fashion</p><p>Name______Date______Block______</p><p>Today’s fashions carry with them influences from many different cultures, both current and throughout history. From ancient Greek and Roman Togas that are similar to some of today’s formalwear to Latino or African patterns and colors that we see in modern clothing to Scottish plaids that show up in skirts and shorts. The role of culture in fashion is almost endless.</p><p>For this project, you will pick one particular culture that is influencing a trend in the fashions that are available today. Write a brief description of the culture’s fashion or design. You can include things such as colors, patterns, style, design, fabrics, accessories or anything that identifies the styles of that culture. You may also include hair and make up styles, but the major topic should be the clothing style of the time. Use your own words; do not copy or cut and paste from the internet, books or magazines. Find pictures of fashions of this era and include them in your presentation. You must include specific facts about the design of that cultures fashion. </p><p>Next find current designs that are linked to the time period you studies. Find pictures in magazines and catalogs and assemble the facts and image neatly into a poster, Power Point or other form of presentation.
