<p>TEMPLATE FOR YOUR PRESS RELEASE (Print on school’s or group’s letterhead)</p><p>FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:</p><p>CONTACT: Your Name School/Group Name Your Day Telephone Number Your Fax Number Your Email Address School or Group’s Web Site Address</p><p>MAIN HEADLINE</p><p>City, State, Date — Opening Paragraph (A strong leading paragraph that summarizes the news and should contain: who, what, when, where, why) </p><p>Remainder of body text - Should include any relevant information such as:</p><p> How the eScrip program works.  Who benefits.  What the success of the program has been so far.  What your goals are.  Include quotes from supporters, volunteers, PTA president, Principal or community members.</p><p>Final Wrap Up - The last paragraph of a Press Release is your school’s “boilerplate” paragraph – standard verbiage that summarizes information about your school/group and includes contact information for the public. </p><p>End with three pound signs (###) at the center bottom of the page. This is a standard marking that indicates your press release is finished.</p><p>However, if you are continuing on to a second page, instead of typing the three pound signs, type this at the center bottom of the page: - more - </p><p>Mini Headline for Second Page – To begin a second page, type in a shortened version of your main headline, followed by: (page 2) This mini headline should be in bold font, just as your main headline is. Example: Safeway Recognized (page 2)</p><p>Finish with your boilerplate paragraph and ###.</p>
