The column on the left is to check when steps are completed. The column on the right is reserved for initials and notes by district employee when indicated as necessary within each step.</p><p>√ Step Y / N Initial/Notes</p><p>Have you confirmed CPS/POLICE investigator’s identity (copy of badge not required) and that the interview is part of an active investigation? If no, do not allow interview and contact your immediate supervisor.</p><p>May campus contact student’s guardian prior to interview or transport? If yes or no, note Y or N to the right and campus staff initial and date in the next column.</p><p>May a school official be present for the interview? Yes or no, note Y or N to the right and campus staff initial and date in the next column.</p><p>Will the student(s) be transported off campus? If possible, get contact number from investigator for additional information should it become necessary. **Notify the Superintendent’s office of the removal of the student. Notify legal guardian if you are authorized by the officer. </p><p>Any government agent who wishes to meet with our staff or students should be willing and able to present to you their badge. You may make a copy of the badge. The copy should be provided to the assistant principal or principal for them to keep in a file. We may not copy and/or retain the government agent’s personal driver’s license. You may still require the government agent to Raptor. </p><p>July 19, 2017</p>
